The combination of operational and strategic purchasing is essential to ensure material supply while optimizing purchasing processes and strategies in the long term. The role involves both the day-to-day procurement of materials as well as the development and implementation of purchasing strategies for cost optimization and supplier assurance.

If you're a strategic thinker, detail-oriented, and fluent in English with 5+ years of purchasing experience, we’d love to hear from you!

MAIN FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION:

• Develop and implement long-term purchasing strategies to reduce costs and ensure a stable supplier base.

• Identify and select new suppliers, build long-term partnerships and negotiate framework agreements.

• Conduct market analysis and supplier evaluations to ensure supplier competitiveness and quality.

• Optimize the purchasing portfolio and supply chain processes, considering both global and local conditions.

• Ensure the timely and cost-effective procurement of production materials, components and services.

OTHER DUTIES

• Manage the order process from demand forecasting to delivery, including monitoring delivery dates and quantities.

• Maintain and update order and supplier data in ERP system.

• Communicate with suppliers to resolve quality issues.

• Monitor inventory levels and work closely with the warehouse and production management to avoid material shortages.

• Collaborate with international departments to coordinate global purchasing strategies and create synergies.

YOU SHOULD BRING THESE KEY SKILLS:

• Fluent in English (spoken and written).

• Experience in sourcing production materials and components.

• At least 5 years of experience in operational and strategic purchasing.

• Degree in business administration, industrial engineering, economics or related.

• Solid knowledge of ERP systems and common purchasing tools of advantage.

THIS WOULD BE FAVORABLE:

• Strong communication and negotiation skills.

• Analytical thinking, strategic planning abilities and a high level of initiative.

• Team-oriented, resilient, and able to maintain an overview in a dynamic environment.

• Authorized to work in Thailand.
